Camelot West Nature Sanctuary
Is a 22 acre Biological and Environmental Sanctuary, located in Mid-Eastern Ohio, 1 mile from New Athens. It's 20 to 30 minutes from St. Clairsville, OH and Wheeling, WV. 1˝ hours from Columbus, Akron, Canton, and Youngstown, Ohio and Pittsburgh PA. Conveniently located on St. Rt. 519, and accessible from Harrison County Road 41. The property was chosen because of its' dead nature. Strip mined 22 years ago, the land is home to scrub grass and is totally useless for farming, or other horticultural activities. With our plans to totally "Biologically as well as Environmentally Rehabilitate" the property, while we build the Eco-Community, it was a natural choice. Within 3 years we will prove that any land, even with limited or no natural resource can be made beautiful, productive, and also biologically and ecologically sustainable once more.
